How to burn / write cd with Windows xp?

In Windows XP, you don't need any software to write files and folder to your blank cd. The following are the steps:

1. Insert a blank, writable CD into the CD / DVD drive.

2. Select the files or folders you want to copy to the CD. Then, right-click the selected files or folders with highlight on and choose send to and then choose your cd drive.

3. If the writable cd folder closes and you have added files or folders to be written to cd a balloon will appear in the bottom right corner reminding you that files are ready to be written to cd. If you click on this balloon, it will show the writable cd folder and the files they are ready.

4. In My Computer, double-click the CD drive. Windows displays a temporary area where the files are held before they are copied to the CD. Verify that the files and folders that you intend to copy to the CD appear under Files Ready to be Written to the CD.

5. Under CD Writing Tasks, click Write these files to CD. Windows displays the CD Writing Wizard. Follow the instructions in the wizard.
