How to disable windows auto restart?


Windows XP has an automatic restart feature that is designed to restart the operating system when an error is detected. Most of the time, this feature makes it easy for you to get the problem pc back to work again. However, if you want to know the cause of the problem, usually the error message on blue screen of death, this feature will get you problem. In this case, you need to stop the auto restart and get the error message and find way to fix the problem. The following are the steps to disable windows restart feature:

1. Click Start.

2. Click control Panel.

3. Click System and click Advanced tab.

4. Under the Startup and Recovery category, click the Settings button.

5. Uncheck the "Automatically restart" entry.

6. Click Apply and then exit all windows.
