How to convert fat32 to ntfs?
Before doing the conversion, you should know that converting a partition from FAT32 to NTFS can be done by a built-in utility in the Windows XP operating system and it is a one-way process. You cannot convert it back. The following are the instructions:
1. Go to Start.
2. Click Run.
3. Type "cmd".
4. key the command "CONVERT C: /fs:ntfs" (where C: is a name of the drive you want to convert).
5. Press Enter.
6. After machine reboot, conversion process will start and you will have your FAT32 converted to NTFS without any data loss.
